University of Tennessee
Set Tennessee records as a true freshman for both kickoff returns (33) and kickoff return yards (863) for a single season. David averaged 26.2 yards per return, giving him a rank of second among SEC freshman and fourth among major college freshman. His sophmore year, David, averaged 19.5 yards per kick return.
The Red Wolves rushed for 509 yards, including a record four players with 100-plus yards, in a 62-11 victory last week against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The leader of the pack is David Oku, a transfer from Tennessee. He was rated the No. 1 all-purpose tailback out of high school by Rivals.com in 2009. He played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Tennessee, transferred to Arkansas State and rushed for 1,061 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2012.
This senior is fast, physical and capable of carrying the entire Arkansas State offense on his back once he gets in a rhythm. He's one of the best running backs in the Sun Belt for a reason.
